Many people assume that hair treatments and dyes are for women but that is not the case at all. As men have to deal with hair loss too, it makes sense that there are dyes for them to! Toppik is a popular brand (which you can read about here) and it’s really easy to apply!
First you need to wash and dry your hair. It is important that Toppik is used on clean hair but also that the hair is completely dry before you start to apply it.
You need to hold the Toppik container around 3 inches above your hair, over the area that needs to be covered. If you’re looking to cover a small area then you might need to holder it a little nearer, but try not to go any closer than 2 inches away. When the bottle is open you can then shake the bottle so that the product inside liberally covers the area you are working on. Of course you’ll find that the product falls onto areas of hair as well as bald areas but this is fine. You can use your thumb and forefinger to gently push fibres into place – just make sure that your fingers are clean before you do this to avoid grease transferring onto the fibres and your hair.
You should then pat the hair into place and make sure it is secure. You can then use a non-bristle brush or a comb to style your hair as normal. You might find that once you start to style your hair one application is not enough, feel free to apply more and start again until you get the coverage you need. You can then use a holding spray to help keep everything in place and give your hair the desired look you want.
